Btw, I received a surprising amount of feedback on my use of the term "star chamber," with people pointing out that, in time, the term came to mean a kind of terrible and secretive kangaroo court rather than its original purpose of holding the powerful accountable to the law; so they were very concerned for Golly's welfare (and rightly so!). Well… I don't know if writers are supposed to confess such things, but I chose the term purely at the last minute because I thought it sounded cool. Sigh. So, if there has to be a reason for it, it's because Golly almost blew up a star. There you go.

So update schedule… ha ha ha ha. Second round of script revision got delayed by my getting sick, so it has to go back to the top of my priority list. So next Bob update will be… sigh, I’m going to be conservative here and say March 21. If I can do an update before then, I certainly will, but at this point, it would be irresponsible for me to promise it.

At any event, Golly’s trial should be a short affair. Just wrapping up loose ends, really.

Oh, and a star chamber is a type of old timey court of law used for trying societal big shots. And yeah, I know the term mostly because of Babylon 5.

So, I uploaded this yesterday before work, came home, and discovered that it was displaying much much bigger than I intended. Darn. So, that's fixed now. The original is still here in the previous LJ entry.



I took a look at the end of Starman for the first time in a while. Man, I really remembered it being more impressive than that. Mostly it’s just the guy and the girl standing there while it rains space confetti. Meh. Oh well, you know what Molly's talking about in general. 2001, Close Encounters, E.T., Star Trek TMP. You know, a space lightshow! I suppose they’ve become less common in movies since desktop screensavers made such things cheap and ubiquitous, which is a shame, but back in the day, a lightshow is how you knew an alien was really powerful or enlightened or whatever. So... lightshow!

Aaaaand they’re gone! That was a long time coming! Whew!

The table read of my script went very well. I got some feedback notes for revising it, and that revision has to get done ASAP. So… next webcomic update will be Tuesday, Feb. 21. In the meantime, wish me luck with my revision. The changes should be pretty minor.

Anybody remember Starman? I know it’s kind of a chick flick, but I like it. And Molly’s a girl, so hey.
